 "Up All Night"Album Makes History!

 The boys made history Wednesday as their newest album "Up All Night" made the US Billboard 200 chart at #1 with over 176,000 copies sold. This makes chart history as the first British group ever to debut at #1 in the US with their debut album release. "Up All Night" went straight to number 1 on the digital chart within minutes of its official release last Tuesday.

Big Tour Announcement

One Direction released today that this coming summer they will be going on a North American Tour. They will be traveling all around the states. They are becoming much more popular and people want what they want... so why not give them more One Direction to cure the infection? The tour starts on May 24th and goes until July 1st. It is something I defiantly want to go to. Maybe it will be a good birthday present for me! Here are the tour dates below.

Up All Night Album Release

"Up All Night," One Direction's first album came available everywhere on this past Tuesday, March 13th. Their 1st single What Makes You Beautiful made it to iTunes Top Ten songs and their album was #1 and #2 on the Top selling album chart. What Makes You Beautiful even made it to the radio. I was so exited when I herd the song. I even went out to the store and bought myself the Yearbook edition album so that I can now jam out to One Direction in my car. I had so much fun listening to it! It's a great album and I encourage anyone who doesn't already have it to go out to your local store and buy it or download it on iTunes. It's worth every penny!

First iCarly now their own TV Show?

Rumors have been going around that One Direction is getting their own TV show on Nickelodeon. The rumors are true! The official Nick twitter account said, “The rumours are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!” I was very surprised when I first found out about this. Can't wait to watch it. A lot of people are thinking that it will be similar to the his Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush but writers are still in the making. Before they make their show they must get known to the Nickelodeon viewers. They will be appearing on a episode of iCarly and they will be performing live at the 2012 Kids Choice Awards on March 31st! Just another way to spread the infection! Go get 'em boys!

1D is set to make history

One direction has surely taken over the U.S as well as most of Europe. The official music industry, Billboard, ( who lists the U.S hot 100 and 200 album charts) are saying that One directions album debut could overpass The Beatles! Their album was so successful that it had reached number one on iTunes in  a little less then a half hour. According to Billboard it's likely to get on the official album chart by March 21st.

The album is set to sell between 160,000 to 180,000 copies which is apparently enough to get them to number one. If they do make it to number one the will be the first UK group in chart history to make it to number one in the first week of release!

 Niall was born on September 13th 1993 which makes him 18 years old.

 He grew up in County Westmeath, Ireland. Niall is the only Irish one in the band and he is known for being the Irish " Justin Biber." As Niall got older he didn't have too many girlfriends. "I've not really been out with many people .I've still never had a serious girlfriend but i would happily go out with someone if the right girl came along". He said that he would date a fan and his perfect girl would have to be someone who is funny and eats as much as he does which is A LOT!

 Fun Facts... His favorite color is green, he plays guitar, he laughs at pretty much anything , Niall's Idol is Michael Buble, he is 5'8", he is not a natural blond.

Liam James Payne

Liam was born on August 29th 1993 which makes him 18 years old.  He grew up in West Midlands, UK. Liam originally auditioned for the X Factor in 2008 when he was 14, but he got sent home. Liam is known as the "daddy" of One Direction. Anytime the boys get off topic he sets them straight. Liam is dating Danielle Peazer. He explains that it is hard being away from her while he is on tour, but when he gets any free time he calls her and tells her he loves her. Liam's perfect girl would have to be "cheeky", or amusing, but quiet and a bit shy as well. He likes happy, smiley girls.

Louis William Tomlinson

Louis was born on December 24th,1991 which makes him 20 years old and is from South Yorkshire, UK. Louis is known for being the funny one of the group and is always pulling a joke. Recently now Louis has been seen dating a model named Eleanor Calder after his band mate Harry Styles set them up on a date. Although she is a few years older than him, people describe her as the female Louis. Louis' perfect girl would have to have a sense of humour, be kind-hearted, loyal, and tidy.

Fun facts...His favorite movie is Grease, his favorite color is Dark Red, his favorite band is The Fray, his idol is Robin Williams, he can play some piano, he has 5 sisters, he is 5'9".

Harry Edward Styles
 

     Harry was born on February 1st, 1994 which makes him 18 years old. He is from Cheshire, UK. Styles was the lead singer for the band White Eskimo with band members lead guitarist Haydn Morris, bass guitarist Nick Clough and drummer Will Sweeny.  Harry is known for being the charmer of the group, which makes him so adorable in any girls eyes.Harry's perfect girl would have to have a good sense of humor, be cute and be loyal.

Fun Facts... Harry's favorite movie is Love Actually, his favorite band is The Beatles, his favorite color is pink, his favorite TV show is Family Guy, Harry's idol is Elvis Presley, he is 5"10.

Zayn Javadd Malik

Zayn  was born on January 12th 1993 which makes him 19 years old. He is from West Lane Baildon, Bradford, UK He is British Pakistani. Zayn is known for being the shy one of the group. Once Zayn got into X Factor he started dating former X Factor contestant, Rebecca Ferguson, which caused controversy because of the six year age difference. The relationship ended after 4 months together. Zayn's perfect girl would have to be someone who is more outgoing, not too clingy, and down to earth.

Fun facts...His name is originally spelt like "Zain" but he
  likes it spelt like "Zayn", he has his left ear pierced, his idol is Justin Timberlake his favorite color is blue, his most famous quote is " Vass happening?" he is 5'9".

Being on Tour with BTR

             Februrary 25th - March 4th

1D at Kids Choice Awards!
One Direction has been on tour here in America since February 24th where they did their first show in Chicago. Things have been going great so far according to their video diary's although things are winding down as their tour is coming to a end on March 9th. As a lot of people know Big Time Rush is a popular boy band and they are sponsored with Nickelodeon. Since One Direction is touring with a Nickelodeon band they have been invited to perform live on the 2012 Kids Choice awards. It will be held on March 31st. This will sure get One Directions name out there! Check out their video Diary below.

  


Not the same without Zayn

During their present U.S Tour Zayn Malik, 1/5 in One Direction had to leave the tour due to a close relative that passed away. He missed the Washington tour date on March 2nd and is not sure when he is said to return. After Harry Styles tweeted “Zayn has suffered a loss in his family & has had to go home for a few days so won’t be at our next shows in the US… Our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time.”  a lot of sympathy has been directed towards Zayn on Facebook and Twitter. Although Zayn has not given anyone updates he retweeted a comment one fan has left “God has no Phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have a twitter, but I still follow him.” My thoughts and prayers along with millions of other fans are there for you Zayn. The video below shows their performance in Washington DC.
